On the video film „Temporary Devotion“ by Kimberly Clark

The name Kimberly Clark is a pseudonym referring to an international manufacturer of hygiene articles, whose products such as toilet paper or tissues are quite familiar to us. It is true that we do not pay much attention to them, but they play a relatively important part in our daily routines. This general familiarity coupled with a certain banality prompted the choice of Kimberly Clark as a name for the artists’ collective comprising three Dutch artists Iris van Dongen, Eveline van de Griend and Ellemieke Schoenmaker in 2005. Their videos, sculptures and installations examine the phenomenon of collective identity by creating and exhibiting it to excess. …
