Claudia Djabbari, Christian Flamm, Melanie Manchot
Curated by Wiebke Gronemeyer

German Ambassador’s Residence
22 Belgrave Square, London SW1
The exhibition runs from 12th October to 20th October 2011.

This exhibition presents new works by London-based artists Claudia Djabbari, Christian Flamm, and Melanie Manchot that use different terms to investigate the possibility of positioning identities. Coinciding with London’s Frieze Art Fair 2011, this exhibition invites the viewer to question the artworks in terms of their character of representation and to negotiate, through communication with the works, forms of the representation of identity in contemporary art and culture. Exploring the notion that contemporary art provides a space of reflection for culture and identity, the exhibition specifically engages with the space of the German Embassy in London.
